Hazardous waste
The company "Eko-Energoprom" uses various methodsutilization of waste of IV hazard classes
What determines the choice of disposal method?
The choice of disposal method is determined by the hazard class of the waste, as well as legal regulations.
Wastes of different hazard classes have different degrees of toxicity, therefore, they pose a different potential threat to the environment.
Thus, if waste of 4-5 classes of danger (ie, relatively safe) can be processed and used a second time, then waste of class 1 of danger (extremely dangerous) is not subject to secondary use in any case.
It is especially worth noting that the disposal of hazardous waste (such as pesticides, those containing mercury and radioactive materials) is carried out exclusively with the use of reliable special equipment and in accordance with the norms of their disposal.
In addition, for the disposal of such waste, as a rule, specialized methods are also used: cementation and microwave energy, as well as preservation in special landfills, since the use of traditional methods (for example, incineration) leads to even greater pollution.
As other effective disposal methods aimed at disposal and reduction of waste, we use pyrolysis, plasma method, incineration (only in cases where burning is harmless), as well as various sterilization methods.
